Soap operas are a great place to see some young, raw talent.
EvenRicky Martin has “General Hospital roots.
As Martin’s popularity began to rise, he landed roles in two different Latin soap operas.
Martin began his stint on the ABC soap opera back in 1994.
Martin didn’t last long on the soap and exited the sudser in 1996.
However, during his time in Port Charles, the singer’s character became romantically involved with Lily Rivera.
The two teens fell hard for one another and Lily ended up pregnant (viaSoap Central).
Lily was then led to believe that Miguel had died and that her child was lost forever.
She was later sent to a convent, but eventually returned home.
When the two reunited they found out that their son was alive.
“I wish he’d stayed on the show forever, but he had bigger things to do.
I’m so proud of him,” former producer Wendy Riche said of the entertainer.
