It has been a very sad past several months for fans of comedians.
Now, we have learned that Gilbert Gottfried died today, April 12, 2022.
One of the first stars to honor the comic was “Seinfeld” actor Jason Alexander.
“Gilbert Gottfried made me laugh at times when laughter did not come easily,” hetweeted.
“What a gift.
I did not know him well but I loved what he shared with me.
My best wishes and sympathy to his family.”
And Alexander only got the ball rolling with his fond memories of Gottfried.
“RIP Gilbert,” the late night hosttweeted.
He could leave you gasping for breath…just indescribably unusually hilarious…Damn."
The actresscalledhim, “Funny, politically incorrect but a softie on the inside.”
She went on to call Gottfried “a great and funny guy.”
